Two fine earthenware dishes from the K&G Lunéville factory, model Pierre, produced in the 1930s. One round and one oval, designed to work together. The decoration is based on a simple and controlled structure: a double blue and red line, punctuated by small regular crosses. Nothing anecdotal. Each motif decorates the edge, like a visible seam, almost textile. The paste is light, slightly ivory, with a shiny glaze typical of Lunéville between the wars. The micro-variations in the decoration are noticeable, a signature of industrial production still touched by hand. Dimensions: Round dish: diameter 38 cm, height 4 cm Oval dish: 33 X 24 cm, height 3 cm These pieces are not decorative by default. They are made to circulate on a table. The round one for a tart, a gratin, a central piece. The oval one for serving, vegetables, a roast, or even used as a catch-all on a console. A coherent, readable set, immediately usable. Tableware that does not seek to seduce; it gently asserts itself. €55.
