Set of 11 deep plates in fine earthenware, model Pierre, produced by the K&G Lunéville factory in the 1930s. Decor printed in two tones, deep blue and red, structured by a double circular line framing a regular frieze of small crosses. Each motif appears to be hand-applied, so balanced is the visual rhythm. A discreet geometry, almost textile, that enlivens the rim without ever weighing down the whole. Earthenware with a light paste, glossy glaze, typical of Lunéville productions from the interwar period. Mark on the reverse visible. Diameter 23 cm. Height approx. 4 cm. The deep plate has a function that the flat one does not achieve: it holds. Soup, pasta, sauced vegetables, fruit, desserts… it retains, it envelops, it highlights what flows, what lives. A table equipped with deep plates functions better. More free, more generous, more everyday. Homogeneous set, ready to be used or integrated into a composition of antique tableware. €120.
