An extraordinary two-body wardrobe in solid oak from the 19th century, hand-restored for over 120 hours into a functional and unique work of art. This piece in Renaissance Revival style features hand-carved relief panels, original historical architectural proportions, and a soft, painterly finish inspired by Claude Monet's water lily palette. Layers of dusty lilac wash, soft Antoinette pink, and muted turquoise rest on a warm ochre undercoat, enhanced by subtle accents of golden wax that catch the light along the sculptural details. The exterior of the cabinet has been carefully treated, primed with natural shellac and sealed with clear furniture wax for a velvety and durable sheen. The solid oak structure is completely stable, with slight historical cracks in the wood carefully preserved and stabilised to honour its antique authenticity.
