Albano Poli wall lamp for Poliarte in multicoloured Murano glass

Dazzling Italian wall lamp by Poliarte. The design features a geometric composition, resembling a mosaic of many small glass cubes arranged in a raised, layered structure. The cubes are translucent with a subtle glossy finish, creating a crystalline effect. Interspersed are accent cubes in warm shades of amber, golden yellow, orange, and sometimes deep red tones, adding vibrant touches of colour that shine when the lamp is lit. The overall shape appears square or rectangular at the base, with overlapping or stacked glass panels forming a three-dimensional sculptural relief. Light passes through the varied thicknesses and colours, casting shadows, refractions, and a warm, multicoloured ambiance. Typical of Poliarte's production from the 1960s-1970s attributed to Albano Poli himself, this piece showcases Poliarte's style of experimenting with the interaction of light and glass to create dynamic illumination.
