Clamp-mounted lamp model Aggregato, designed by Enzo Mari in collaboration with Giancarlo Fassina for the Milanese house Artemide, 1974. The Aggregato is a true modular lighting system made up of eleven basic components that allow for the assembly of 72 different lamp models according to typologies and needs. A utopia realised by Enzo Mari and Artemide's founder Ernesto Gismondi — giving the public the freedom to compose their own luminaire from simple and universal elements. This clamp-mounted version for a table or desk, with its grey plastic spherical shade and metal structure, perfectly illustrates Mari's approach: a radical, functional, and timeless design. Original functional equipment, with slight oxidation on the metal inherent to the age of the piece. Characteristics: Model: Aggregato — clamp/vice version. Designers: Enzo Mari & Giancarlo Fassina. Publisher: Artemide, Milan. Year: 1974. Dimensions: H 56 cm × Ø 37 cm. Material: Grey plastic spherical shade, metal structure. Clamp-mounted on table or desk. Condition: Signs of wear. Slight oxidation on the metal. Original functional equipment.
