This lithograph “Le Beau Pays de Bretagne - Vieux Moulin à Loguivy” is signed Henri Rivière and bears a red stamp in the lower right corner. The work is authentic and old. For the condition, note in the margin traces of folding, small stains and ink lines. On the lithograph, we note small stains in places. The lithograph is very fresh in color, once framed most of the defects will be barely visible. Sold as presented. Henri Rivière (1864-1951) is a French painter, engraver and illustrator. He began his career with drawing then with intaglio engraving and specifically etching in 1882. At the same time, he began a career as a director and scenographer, in 1886, of the shadow theater at the Cabaret du Chat Noir, shows that he improved by creating very innovative color sets. He then devoted himself exclusively to painting and engraving and established himself in the history of etching, printmaking, woodcuts, lithography and watercolor (he painted around a thousand watercolors).
