Extrememly rare Museum Chair ('Sedile del Museo Bagatti Valsecchi'), designed by Alessandro Mendini in 1996 for Osvaldo Mastrangelo Italy. The chair is marked with a metal plate underneath the seat. Only a few of these chairs were manufactured. A collectible piece. It is made of solid beech wood, steamed and stained in red, yellow and green aniline paint. The eyes of the fishes in the backrest are small mother-of-pearl inlays. The abstract face on top of the backrest represents Mendini's muse Anna Gili. Many more details in this remarkable chair. The original box is with it. The chair is easy to dismantle. This collector's item is in excellent condition, as new.
