Old tripod chair in carved wood, mustard velvet cushion.

Old wooden tripod chair, early/mid 20th century, inspired by Spanish design. The high backrest and seat are adorned with openwork clovers. The visible surfaces are carved with a gouge, giving a rustic and raw appearance. It comes with its original small mustard yellow velvet cushion, bordered with twisted trim. This type of tripod seat is traditionally associated with the work chairs of midwives and childbirth. Its low shape, wide seat, and two armrests served this purpose. Today, it easily fits as an accent chair, corner chair, or entryway chair. In generally good condition, with signs of use. An old repair with wood filler is visible under the seat and on one side (see photos). The three legs are in good condition and the chair is stable. Two legs can be screwed and unscrewed. One leg has been glued. Dimensions: 53 x 80 x 43 cm / Seat height: 40 cm. Careful packaging. I answer all your questions regarding the items and their delivery. Feel free to explore my Selency shop.
