Handcrafted wooden chest with carvings – Pakistan, 1990s

Superb handcrafted solid wood chest, fully carved and chiselled by hand, imported from Karachi (Pakistan) in 1996. This piece showcases traditional Indo-Persian craftsmanship, with delicate floral patterns carved across all the panels and a finely worked lid. The wood, likely rosewood (sheesham), offers a warm hue and beautiful depth of grain. Both decorative and functional, this chest can serve as a storage unit, a linen chest, or a statement piece in a bohemian, ethnic, or vintage interior.
