Magnificent antique camphor chest, crafted from solid camphor wood with finely worked solid brass fittings. This type of chest, typical of the Anglo-Indian period (late 19th – early 20th century), was used to transport personal belongings or camphor, prized for its natural insect-repellent properties and delicate fragrance.
