Modernist TV/Hifi table in wood & metal by J. Hitier, French design 1950.

Side table / TV table from the 1950s-60s in the style of Jacques Hitier. Structure in black tubular metal. Wooden tops. Lower shelf appears suspended with decorative vertical cordage / scoubidou. Airy and functional design, the aesthetic is very modernist, typical of French post-war furniture. The lines are light and graphic, with a very characteristic inclined base that recalls Jacques Hitier's work for Tubauto. Very good condition for age and use. Signs of wear can be considered minimal. Dimensions: 100 X D50 X H55.
