Coffee table / magazine rack, model "Java" by Mathieu Mategot (1910-2001), circa 1955, top in yellow-green lacquered "rigitulle", bordered by a square-section gallery, tubular lacquered legs, copper feet. This rare model is documented in several books on Mategot: Jousse Entreprise, Mathieu Matégot, Paris, 2003, pages 164 and 227, as well as Patrick Favardin, Mathieu Matégot, Paris, 2014, pages 66, 69 and 135. In its vintage condition with traces of black paint and visible metal in certain areas. The table can be relacquered at the buyer's request in their choice of colour.
