Beautiful pair of wall plates in glazed earthenware, handcrafted in Nabeul (Tunisia), dating from the 1960s-1970s. These two decorative pieces are hand-painted according to traditional Arab-Andalusian motifs. The decoration uses a palette of cobalt blue, copper blue, and fir green on a white enamel background. The set consists of two distinct designs: - The first plate features a central geometric and symmetrical decoration, composed of palmettes and floral medallions. A handmade stamp in blue ink bearing the word "Poteries" and an unidentified symbol is visible on the base. - The second plate illustrates the traditional motif of facing roosters, surrounded by a vegetal frieze. It is unmarked. Each piece has two original hanging holes on the back for wall display. They are in excellent overall condition. The enamel and colours are well preserved. No chips, cracks, or restorations to report. Dimensions: Palmettes and medallions plate: 32 x 32 x 3 cm / Facing roosters plate: 32 x 32 x 2.5 cm. Careful packaging.
