A Mediterranean air blows over this finely hand-painted earthenware plate, where two stylized birds flourish around a flowered vase, in a decor teeming with plants and bright colors, cobalt blue, turquoise, deep red, saffron yellow, emerald green. Each detail evokes the crossed influences of Arab-Andalusian art and the Tunisian ceramic tradition, with this free and vibrant brushstroke, so characteristic of the Nabeul workshops. Without a visible stamp, this piece is nonetheless of great charm: probably made in the 1970s–1980s, it is part of the lineage of artisanal decorative earthenware, often produced for the local market or seaside shops. Presumed origin: Nabeul, Tunisia Diameter 27 cm Very good vintage condition, some slight irregularities in the glazing due to the artisanal manufacturing. Whether placed on a table or hung, it will bring a touch of sunshine and exoticism to your interior, alone or in a wall of plates.
