Pair of candelabra with sphinxes in gilded bronze, early 19th century. France, Restoration period circa 1830. Patinated and gilded bronze, finely chiselled. Three-light candelabra resting on a yellow Siena marble base. The arms represent stylised branches in the form of scrolls topped with floral motifs. The bases are adorned with rows of beads and rest on chiselled and gilded bronze feet in the Louis XVI style. Dimensions 35 X 16 X 16 cm.
