Chenets bronze griffins

This is a pair of andirons with griffin sculptures holding a ring, featuring a central bar decorated in its centre with the head of the same griffin topped with a shell. The whole piece does not have any apparent signature; the estimated period of manufacture could be the Second Empire. Very good condition. Additional photos available upon request.
