Pair of gilt bronze candlesticks

Superb pair of gilt bronze candlesticks (inspired by mythology) depicting richly detailed winged chimeras. The bronze work demonstrates great craftsmanship, typical of the late 19th century, with a beautiful golden patina and refined finishes. These candlesticks will bring a spectacular and elegant touch to a table, console, or mantelpiece. Both decorative and functional, they are ideal for a classic, romantic, or cabinet of curiosities setting. A screw on one wing allows the candlesticks to be disassembled for easier polishing.
