Kidney-shaped commode in marquetry, pink marble and bronze – Louis XV style. Charming kidney-shaped commode made of precious wood and rich geometric marquetry. The undulating front opens with two stacked drawers adorned with diamond-shaped marquetry panels and delicate lock entries and drop handles in gilded bronze. The cut-cornered uprights are enhanced with chiselled and gilded bronze mounts. The curved sides also feature framed marquetry panels. The whole rests on four cabriole legs ending in bronze hooves. The top is crowned with an elegant grey-veined pink marble, bordered by an openwork brass gallery, adding refinement and lightness to the silhouette. The decor, inspired by Louis XV furniture, is highlighted by a beautiful harmony of fruitwoods and contrasting species.
