Pair of armchairs (1 fixed and 1 swivel) by charles pollock. International knoll edition, white leather. Very good condition with a white become cream over time. I think the leather has been redone since the 60s but more than 30 years compared to the date of acquisition. Seat height 48 cm. If you have any questions, Don't hesitate! - History: Designed and released in 1963, the pollock executive chair (with or without armrests) is an iconic armchair by american designer charles pollock. It was designed by knoll in 1963 and is one of the best-selling executive chairs in the history of office furniture design! The bond between pollock and knoll began when he (literally) met florence knoll in an elevator. Charles tells this incredible story in an interview with jonathan olivares (an industrial designer): "i had a very small apartment and I built this pesky chair with my bare hands, because I absolutely wanted to work properly. One day I carried it in an elevator - it's heavy and very cumbersome! - and when I got out of the elevator, I brought down florence knoll! I left, I was so embarrassed... So I decided to talk about it with my psychiatrist, who said, "that's perfect! Now you write him a letter and you say you were so embarrassed and how much you love knoll and how hard you worked on that chair. "and she hired me." This was the beginning of knoll and the infamous chair designer, charles pollock.
