Vintage design. Classic elegant design by Knoll International based on a project by Bruce Hannah and Andrew Morrison from the 1970s. Here in a version with a white frame and a black cushion. A functional design based on a simple principle. A backrest and a seat cushion are mounted as visible cushions within a metal frame. The frame is made from a single piece of aluminium painted white. This materiality allows only for the continuous shape of the frame, which represents the armrests of the seat and ultimately the backrest. The contrast of the thick cushions with the thin frame is striking. The cushions "inflate" beyond the frame. The seat and back cushions are separated by a gap. The black upholstery fabric is made of a coarse hopsak. A special detail of the upholstery is the large round buttons. On one hand, they are functional and serve to assemble the upholstery. On the other hand, they evoke a classic pillow. The base is cross-shaped. The chairs are not swivel.
