Vintage Chinese sideboard / lacquer cabinet (black / birds) Bohemian

DESCRIPTION: A unique oriental chest of drawers / sideboard. These cabinets are from the 1970s, a period when Chinoiserie experienced a revival. This style originated in the mid-18th century, when entire castles were filled with Chinese and oriental furniture and objects. During the 1970s, these types of furniture were made and each one is unique. All elements are applied by hand, always giving it an artistic touch. You can clearly see the hand-painted lines. It is painted on all sides, even inside. Birds and flowers are depicted on the front and top. The sides also show birds and flowers. The doors are painted with bamboo on the inside. After these paintings, everything is finished with lacquer. The cabinet has 4 drawers lined with fabric inside. On both sides there are cupboards with 2 levels, and the shelf can be removed. In short, a beautiful Asian piece of furniture as an eye-catcher in any interior. CONDITION: Generally in good condition. The cabinet has some touched-up lacquer spots here and there. On the inside, a few spots can be seen on the doors. (see last photos for a better idea of the condition) The cabinet has been cleaned but smells of white sage smoke.
