Indian throne chair in carved red wood - Buddhist / Hindu.

Exceptional furniture from the English colonial period in India (1790-1847), probably from the years 1900-1910. A unique handcrafted piece engraved with floral patterns, animals, and deities. The legs are carved with elephant heads, and the armrests feature crocodiles and wild cats. The upholstery is in very good condition and the padding is comfortable. There are no structural defects, but a few discreet scattered losses. A row of crenellations is missing from the inside of the right armrest, as well as the elephant tusks.
