Davenport Regency Antique Desk Circa 1810-1820 in Hardwood and Leather

We are delighted to offer for sale this original antique Regency Davenport desk of the highest quality, dating from around 1810-1820, with a brown leather top. The wood appears to be West Indian rosewood, imported at the time by the finest cabinetmakers in England, including Gillows. This desk is both an interesting display piece and functional today, serving as a laptop table. The condition is excellent with a thorough cleaning, hand-waxed and polished. There are some age-related signs of use, but nothing notable. The original keys are not available but can be made by the new owner. The dimensions are 84 cm in height, 60.5 cm in width, and 52 cm in depth. Please refer to the very detailed images for the condition. The hand-dyed leather requires regular maintenance to prevent drying and sun discolouration.
