Majolica tobacco pot in green and yellow barbotine, late 19th century.

Charming tobacco jar or lidded box in French barbotine from the late 19th century. The slightly curved cylindrical body is glazed in a deep satin green, with relief elements in ochre, yellow, and caramel tones. The matching lid is topped with a finely sculpted acorn finial, showcasing beautiful moulding precision. The interior reveals a very decorative blue-green or turquoise glaze. On the underside, there is a hollow mould number G7, in line with the practices of the major French manufacturers of the time (Sarreguemines, Lunéville, or similar). The piece is in very good condition, with no chips or restoration. Ideal on a shelf, a desk, or in a curiosity cabinet decor. Height: 12 cm and 16 cm with the lid.
