Hans Wagner (1916-1991) Large decorative bowl in studio pottery from the mid-century, 1950s, Netherlands. Fantastic bowl by Dutch artist Hans Wagner from the studio pottery. Very elegant and stylish, this bowl or dish is a true focal point on a table or dresser - or hung on the wall. Fresh and grand aesthetic with clear lines and a very pure white. At the centre is a stylised group of people holding hands in blue and red. Stunning colours, everything is freely and expressively drawn. Around the edge of the bowl, the same combination of blue and red can be found. It always appears very fresh and modern, making this ceramic piece an excellent addition to any elegant interior. Hans Wagner was a renowned Dutch potter. His works were often very graphic and elegant, made from red earthenware and glazed with stylised elements. Great vintage condition with a shine on the back, barely visible.
