Magnificent set of 8 flat plates made of glazed stoneware from the iconic Poterie de la Colombe, an art workshop founded in 1960 by the famous ceramist Madeleine Brault. These pieces, embodying Mid-Century Modern and Brutalist styles, feature the renowned "Tachiste" decor, a signature of the workshop: a unique composition of dark oxides hand-sprayed onto a satin cream-white glaze, enhanced by the raw red stoneware border and back. Each plate thus possesses its own character while forming a harmonious set. Entirely handcrafted, they are signed on the back with the famous relief stamp depicting a stylised dove with the inscription "Colombe France". Dimensions: • Diameter: 23 cm. • Height: 2 cm. Excellent condition: shiny glaze, no chips or cracks. Stunning vintage pieces that showcase the artisanal craftsmanship of the era. These plates form the basis of a beautiful complete stoneware table service. Other items are also available in my shop: • 8 large soup bowls (diameter 19 cm) • 4 small appetizer bowls (diameter 10 cm) • 1 large soup tureen with its lid. • 1 large round serving platter (diameter 30 cm) • 1 square dish. A wonderful opportunity to acquire a set signed by Poterie de la Colombe, rare on the market.
