He was known for the lamps he created for well-known danish furniture companies and later for his own brand in the 1950s: holm sørensen & co. The brand began producing table lamps, but expanded rapidly, thanks in part to holm-sørensen's special technique for working and processing copper. This special technique has also influenced the design of this pendant lamp. The process created a burnt look and rustic edges, which gives the lamp its brutalist look.
