Fog & Mørup Saturn pendant lamp by Jo Hammerborg in copper & black, Danish design

This iconic Saturn pendant lamp was designed by Jo Hammerborg for the Danish company Fog & Mørup and is one of the most famous designs in Scandinavian lighting from the 1960s. The combination of warm copper, matte black lacquered metal, and the subtle orange reflection on the inside creates a characteristic and atmospheric lighting effect. The layered construction prevents direct view of the light source and gives the lamp its distinctive architectural appearance. This example is in neat vintage condition. The copper has developed a beautiful, natural patina and the metal is well preserved. The lamp features the original embossed Fog & Mørup mark. The lower perspex diffuser is missing.
