The drop front and the façade feature a rich marquetry decoration of floral bouquets and branches in reserves highlighted with fillets. The piece is adorned with gilded metal ornaments, particularly on the falls and legs, as well as an openwork gallery running along the top. The drop front locks and forms a particularly decorative ensemble, characteristic of Louis XV style furniture.
