Ancient painting, portrait of a noble lady, 18th century.

Oil on canvas. French school of the 18th century. The elegant lady poses draped in a green velvet cape trimmed with fur, adorned with golden braids and lace; languidly leaning on one arm against the marble balustrade behind her, she holds a small dog on her lap, which also seems to pose. Restored and relined at the end of the 19th century, the painting currently shows some slight losses of paint. It is presented in a gilded frame from the late 19th century, which also has some missing sections and losses of gilding.
