Elegant grand portrait medallion oil on curved Venetian wood vintage

Very beautiful large oval medallion portrait, oil on curved wood, vintage 1960s-70s in the style of ancient Venetian art, handcrafted, hand-painted, Italy/Venice. Integrated frame with raised relief edges, gilded with gold leaf, featuring a convex portrait of an elegant young woman in a long white and blue dress, wearing fur on her shoulders and some pearl jewellery, set against an interior background with a curtain, a corner of a wall, and a terrace opening onto a blue sky and a tree. Measures 46cm in height by 36.5cm in width, quite rare in these dimensions, approximately 10cm in maximum thickness. In very good overall condition, although there are some signs of wear, such as a discreet crack at the top of the frame and a few scratches, particularly along the arm holding the dress, also discreet. Weighs approximately 1kg.
