Library designed by Pierre Guariche for the layout of the La Plagne station, published by Negroni in the 1960s. Made of pine, it features an open structure organised by shelves of varying heights and two integrated storage modules. The wooden and coloured laminate drawers introduce a subtle graphic variation while maintaining the overall coherence. The vertical composition, balanced and rhythmic, reflects a precise functional approach. This furniture is part of the equipment programmes for alpine resorts, where Pierre Guariche developed a modernist language suited to collective uses, combining rationality with the warmth of the material. It was notably presented at the Salon des arts ménagers in 1969. Edition: Negroni around 1968. Bibliography: Pierre Guariche, Delphine Jacob, Aurélien Jauneau, François Blaisse, Norma editions, Paris, p. 20, p. 214.
