Rustic Farmhouse Painted Folk Art Bridal Cabinet dated 1806

Antique folk art bridal cabinet from 1806 from Franconia, southern Germany. This cabinet has a warm appearance and enough details to stand out immediately. Suitable for an interior where craftsmanship, history and colour are appreciated. The piece of furniture has the original painting from 1806, in a beautiful light blue colour. This original paint has beautifully worn over the years, giving the whole a very characteristic appearance. The cabinet is beautifully decorated with trees of life in the panels, which are characteristic of the folk art of that time and region. The cabinet has been thoroughly checked and professionally restored, with attention to originality and character. The construction is solid, the painting is nicely intact and the patina has been preserved. The cabinet has an original working lock and is equipped with a shelf and rod on the inside. This rod, and one of the two wedges to dismantle the cabinet, has been replaced at some point. Old, sporadically present woodworm traces have been checked and treated. Bridal cabinets like this are rarely found. The colours, paintings and patina make this an exclusive piece of furniture. The cabinet can be transported in two parts.
