Religious wall medallion Christ plaster antique 19th century Louis XVI style 19th century

Superb and rare antique religious medallion circa 1880-1910, in cast white plaster. Oval/round shape, in the center relief bust of christ very elegant and fine on oval bordered with lace relief, white, in relief frame of floral motifs, roses, and edges with simple patterns, gilded typical of the louis XVI aesthetic. 23.5cm high, by 21.5cm wide, approximately 2cm thick max. Very good condition for its age, cleaned plaster very white but patinated by time, frame regilded and aged in the original spirit. Some small defects of use, small knocks or chips, rare and discreet, small manufacturing defects, notably bubbles on the edge of the frame. 2 holes at the top for hanging. Approximately 550gr.
