Pair of antique cast iron fire dogs with antique busts

Pair of antique cast iron andirons, adorned with female busts inspired by Antiquity. The figures, with richly crafted hairstyles, display different expressions, forming a deliberately asymmetrical pair that adds a lot of character. In the 19th-century style, they are from the early 20th century. Made of solid cast iron, these andirons are robust and stable. Beautiful dark brown patina. They will fit well in a functioning fireplace as well as decorative elements. There is some oxidation under the bases, due to age, which is invisible once the andirons are installed.
