Splendid plaster medallion, with a very beautiful patina, depicting the portrait of Jean-Baptiste de Gribauval. Jean-Baptiste Vaquette de Gribeauval, born September 15, 1715 in Amiens and died May 9, 1789 in Paris, was an officer and engineer, he reformed the French field artillery. This medallion is in good general condition, some light chips around the edge. On the back, some traces of glue, probably due to its installation on a support (frame).
