This superb pair of ancient opaline vases, in beautiful condition, dates from the beginning of the 20th century. The vases are baluster-shaped with a flared collar and are made of white opaline. They have a delicate decoration painted with flowers and garland foliage in the upper and low part surrounding a large light blue edity. Fine green border on the body and in the lower part of the collar and gilded edges on the edge of the collar and at the foot of the vases. The opaline subtly lets light through; it is matte on the outside of the vases, very soft to the touch, and shiny on the inside and on the flared part of the collars. This double aspect of opaline gives a very delicate and fresh effect to both pieces. Both pieces have a red mark painted under their base (photo). These two vases are absolutely charming and extremely elegant: purity of opaline, fine and refined decorations and soft colours. A very decorative duo, which attracts attention. Very nice condition of the two vases, no sparkle, no gin. Note very slight gilding wear at the collar, very discreet (photo). One of the slightly paler blue edges on one of the vases, original design, without gravity (double photo). Height: 21 cm - body diameter at the widest: 9 cm - Outer neck diameter: 8.5 cm - base diameter: 6 cm - Total weight: 1 kg. Early 20th century - circa 1900. Sending fast and neat, in parcel followed colissimo or point relay.
