A vase from the 1970s made of latticino glass with a milky white, semi-transparent hue, characteristic of mid-century modern style. The surface is smooth and glossy, reflecting light evenly. The form features a slightly bulbous body, elongated slender neck, and gently flared mouth. The neck is topped with a narrow gold band, subtly accentuating the shape. The front displays a colourful floral motif in shades of yellow, pink, red, blue, and green, complemented by a calm butterfly silhouette in browns – the decoration was applied by transfer technique or hand-painted. No signs of wear or restoration are visible, no cracks or chips – the vase is in very good vintage condition. This vase evokes the atmosphere of Polish design at the turn of the 1960s and 1970s. The latticino glass shows inspiration from traditional glassmaking, but its light silhouette and decor tell a story of home comfort and subtle everyday beauty. The floral motif's colour palette – bright, cheerful, and full of effortless charm – recalls newly built homes filled with thoughtfully and modestly decorated utility items typical of the era. The gold detail on the neck draws attention, as if referring to small rituals and gestures – placing the vase on a freshly set table or sideboard in the living room. This type of vase works well displayed solo on a low light wood sideboard or on a shelf with other muted colours – for example, with period glass, small ceramics, and books. It can be paired with real flowers in light or pastel shades to emphasise the natural form. It is a good choice for display in a modernist interior with vintage elements or in an eclectic collection combining different decades and styles. Thanks to its universal silhouette, it fits both minimalist settings and more decorative arrangements based on nostalgia and design history.
