Small enamelled stoneware jug, Poterie des Mottes, Saint-Amand-en-Puisaye, a major centre of French ceramics. Founded in 1922 by Fernand Normand, the pottery has managed to preserve a recognised artisanal know-how in the work of enamelled stoneware, until the end of its production in 1998. This model from the 1970s features an engraved floral decoration enhanced with a blue-green glaze, typical of the poetic rustic style of the workshop. Made from natural stoneware. The interior is covered with a shiny light grey glaze. The spout and generous handle make it an object that is both decorative and functional. In good vintage condition (see photos). Height 11.5 cm, diameter at the widest point: 13 cm (excluding handle). Estimated capacity: approximately 0.6 litre.
