30 cm pitcher vase signed Jean-Claude Courjault Keraluc

This very large and beautiful vase in the shape of a pitcher is the work of the ceramist jean-claude courjault who worked until the 1970s for keraluc in quimper, then set up on his own at la cerisaie near chinon in 1975. It is signed jcl courjault on the side and under the base we find the engraved handwritten note: “j.cl courjault de keraluc diplomé des beaux arts unique piece fo8”. We can therefore date it to before 1975 and its establishment on its own account. I would even tend to date it from the 60s because it does not yet have all the characteristics of the vases he created in the 70s, less mixing of colors, little “scarification”, only the flower is engraved in hollow in the mass. This vase unfortunately suffered an accident and was glued back together, but I would like to offer it to you anyway, because the repairs, although clumsy, are not excessively visible, if you place it on a shelf one of the sides only shows 'a crack. And on the other hand, a ceramic restorer will certainly be able to take this over, remove the glue from the “home” repair and reconstruct the whole thing much more cleanly. And then it’s a courjault after all! I can't bring myself to see him not find another life! I am therefore offering it here as is but at a price well below the value it would have had if it had been intact. A first repair concerns the broken handle at the junction points with the body of the vase and in the middle of the handle (handle in two pieces therefore), these repairs are rather correct, not too visible. The other repairs are on the top edge of the pitcher on either side of the spout (4 large pieces of which only one has been perfectly put back in place). These repairs are more visible on the inside than on the outside because you can see the glue line. It measures 30 cm in height, approximately 23 cm in width including the handle, approximately 18 cm in maximum diameter. It weighs a little over 3 kg!.
