Vintage glazed stoneware jug

Vintage glazed stoneware jug - Olive green & floral decoration - Regional crafts. Found by chance in a thrift store, this jug (or small jug with lid) looks like it came straight out of a country kitchen, somewhere between a bouquet of lavender and a jam jar. Its olive green enamel is enhanced with a stylized floral decoration in warm shades (rust, chocolate) applied by hand, its Provençal yellow interior, typical of artisanal production from the 1950s-1970s. Its charm lies in its assumed imperfections: soft and rounded shape, small irregularities in the enamel, and above all, this shiny, slightly cracked patina that tells the story of the years. Note its lid, also decorated, and its original spout. Perfect for serving a homemade herbal tea, keeping a broth warm, or simply decorating a rustic shelf, this piece seduces with its authenticity.
