Here are three magnificent soup bowls, which could also be used to serve a fruit salad, scoops of ice cream or diverted to an aperitif to present appetizers. They are made of puisaye stoneware with a wonderful glaze mixing soft and comforting tones: beige, caramel and chocolate, a material and colors typical of the 70s. A very beautiful craft work by the potter jean-pierre prud'homme. They are not signed, just marked with a 1 hollowed out in the material (size of the bowl), but I can say that they are by jean-pierre prud'homme because I have had many pieces by this ceramist in my hands, including a complete service with bowls that are quite similar, but marked with a number 2 (because they are just a tad larger). Jean-pierre prud'homme did not sign all his pieces when they were part of a service. For example, for the service that I have already sold, only the large pieces were signed: dish, soup tureen, etc. But the enameling of these bowls is even prettier, more sought after than that of other bowls of identical shape by this ceramicist, so I think they are a little later than some others, perhaps from the end of the 70s. Jean-pierre prud'homme founded with his wife a craft pottery workshop in 1971 in monnaie, working with clay from nièvre (puisaye stoneware). This workshop still exists today (au grès du vent workshop), it is run by his son benoît prud'homme who took over in the 1990s-2000s and also creates very beautiful ceramics. These bowls are in perfect condition, no defects to report, not even a chip! They measure 13.5 cm wide including handles, 11 cm in diameter at the opening and 8 cm high.
