Here is a magnificent stoneware fondue pot, decorated in its center with a hollow-carved flower, with a magnificent enamel in light gray tones with touches of brown and this beautiful green typical of this ceramic artist. Because yes, this fondue pot is the fruit of beautiful artisanal work of turning, chiseling and enameling by the ceramicist albert thiry (signature in felt pen underneath). And a little extra, the handle has two perforations, which allows it to be easily hung on a wall, an ideal position to highlight its beautiful central motif. Thiry ceramics with this motif are rarer than those with the thistle. Albert thiry settled in vallauris in 1943, he first worked in different workshops, including that of charles voltz, before creating with his wife pyot gavaudan their own workshop in the early 60s, still in vallauris. This fondue pot dates from the 60s or 70s, it is in perfect condition, no cracks, no chips, not even a chip. It measures 17 cm in length (including the handle), about 12 cm in diameter and about 4.5 cm in height. I offer several other albert thiry ceramics in my shop here, do not hesitate to take a look.
