Gallia milk jug for Christofle, Colbert model: octagonal body in silver-plated metal, bead frieze, shell spout, handle in blackened wood. Hallmarked. The underside bears the GALLIA mark in a cartouche, topped with a rooster, the model number 5834, and the square hallmark of Christofle silver plating: a chess knight between the letters O and C, in use since 1935, indicating that the manufacturing occurred after this date. The milk jug is in generally good condition. The silver plating shows slight scratches and some signs of oxidation, and one of the edges of the body has a small dent.
