Rare dining room set designed by Patrick Gingembre and published by Paulus, circa 1970, consisting of its square table and four matching Ginger chairs. Entirely made of fibreglass in an off-white shade, this set is particularly representative of the research conducted around plastic furniture at the turn of the 1970s. The monobloc table, with generously rounded corners and a sculptural base, perfectly complements the four Ginger chairs, identifiable by their organic silhouette and integrated base. While Ginger chairs occasionally appear on the market, it is much rarer to find a coherent set comprising the table and four chairs. A beautiful expression of French Space Age design from the 1970s, both sculptural, playful, and surprisingly contemporary. Vintage condition with signs of use consistent with age. Patrick Gingembre — published by Paulus, France, circa 1970.
