Condition: Excellent condition, with slight signs of wear. Description. Agatha Ruiz de la Prada (born in 1960) is a renowned Spanish entrepreneur, artist, designer, and creator. The daughter of a noble and an architect and art collector, Agatha grew up in an artistic environment. Her father's collection included works by Andy Warhol and Miró, artists who profoundly influenced her creative work. After graduating from an art and fashion school in Barcelona, the young designer worked in the Madrid workshop of designer Pepe Rubio. At the same time, she became an active figure in the Movida madrileña movement. The Movida madrileña was a punk-inspired urban cultural movement that emerged in the early post-Franco era. Its most famous member was director Pedro Almodóvar. Fueled by the newfound freedom after Franco's death, the movement embodied exuberance and hedonism. This set of children's furniture fully aligns with that tradition. The iconic heart motif and rainbow colours are recurring elements in the designer's work. They symbolise love, passion, and the boldness to live life to the fullest, in all its richness and vibrancy.
