Rare American Bureau with Curtain "Gradiam" in Oak – Vintage Rolltop Style

Magnificent "American" desk with sliding curtain, an authentic piece from the early 20th century (1920s-1930s). This solid oak furniture features superb craftsmanship, particularly with its dovetail drawers. Design & Storage: The slatted curtain opens to a compartmentalised interior with several niches and small storage drawers. It has large side drawers and a wide central drawer, with a double height drawer at the bottom right. Dimensions: Width 130 cm / Depth 80 cm / Total height 110 cm (Table height 76 cm). Condition: The wood appears to have been stripped on the outside (not the inside) to give it a beautiful lightened and natural look. Please note (Technical details): * The top surface has a visible old stain (see photos). The metal clasp of the curtain (original Gradiam lock) is present as a separate piece but needs to be reinserted into its slot. Signs of wear inside the desk. In the photos, the top is simply placed: the crosspieces connecting the cabinets (front and back) are provided but were not assembled at the time of the photo shoot.
