Elegant Model 42 chair designed by Kai Kristiansen and manufactured by Schou Andersen in Denmark in the 1960s. Its solid teak frame is complemented by a newly upholstered seat and backrest in black aniline leather, creating a refined contrast with the warm wood grain. Overall dimensions: H: 73 / W: 54 / D: 57 cm. Model 42 is celebrated for its sculptural frame, short armrests, and distinctive pivoting backrest, which gently adapts to the sitter’s posture. The balanced proportions make it equally suitable as a dining chair, desk chair, or accent piece. The aniline leather retains its natural surface character, offering a soft feel and developing an individual patina with use. The chair has been professionally restored. The teak frame has been cleaned, refreshed, and protected, and the seat foam replaced for improved comfort. The new leather upholstery follows the original upholstery method. The chair is in very good vintage condition, with minor age-related signs of use remaining on the wooden frame. Additional dimensions: Seat height: 45 cm Armrest height: 67 cm
