This pendant lamp was designed by Carlo Nason for the Italian manufacturer A.V. Mazzega in Murano during the 1970s. The shade is made of thick hand-moulded Murano glass with an organic bell-shaped silhouette that opens into a wide, wavy lower edge. The upper part features a dense concentration of inclusions in dark amber, bronze and copper tones with small trapped air bubbles, which gradually transitions to a clear glass with a marked texture at the lower edge. The glass shade hangs from a geometric trapezoidal brass-toned metal fitting attached to the top, connected to a rectangular ceiling canopy. When lit, the irregular thickness of the glass and the inclusions cast warm light effects and reflections on the walls and ceiling. Its dimensions make it suitable as a centrepiece above a dining table, in a living room or in an interior design project seeking original Italian lighting from the 1970s.
