Italian Murano Chandelier by Carlo Nason for Mazzega, 70s

Magnificent, original vintage chandelier designed from carlo nason and manufactured in murano from mazzega in the 1970s. This chandelier is made of s solid lamp's base in nickel with 36 hooks and the matching ceiling rose, hold from a steel cable and separate wiring. It keeps 36 hand-crafted, big-size murano glass plates of iridiscent shimmering white glass, every single piece is different from the other. The glass plates are 15cm / 5.9inch in diameter, this is the big size. They are incredibly beautiful and indescribable, how the transparent-off-white murano glass shimmers depending on the light irradiation. On the photos, the effect is only poorly visible. On the back of each glass you can see where the panes were cut by hand in the glassworks. All glasses are in mint condition, so the lamp's base.
